joins her new friends Ronald McDonald and the State Farm Safety Bear
to talk to Desoto County kids about safety.

Trooper Lucy Papp reached out to the kids in Desoto County, attending two special safety programs to pass on the message that wearing a seat belt can save your life. On June 3rd, Trooper Papp used the rollover simulator to demonstrate why seat belts are so important and to spread the word about child seats and booster seats for younger kids at the Desoto County Safety Show held at Desoto County High School and sponsored by Century 21.

On June 7th, Trooper Papp brought out the Fatal Vision goggles to demonstrate the dangers of drinking and driving at the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch Summer Camp held at the Desoto County Fairgrounds in Arcadia. After her seatbelt demonstrations using the rollover simulator, she spoke with the children and their counselors about safety on our roadways. Hopefully, the kids listened to her advice and will think about their safety this summer. Trooper Papp told the audience that one of her main goals is to save the lives of our young people and their families.
