Law enforcement officers from all across Florida traveled to the state capital for the 24th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service to honor fallen officers. At the service, officers remembered each of the Florida law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty this past year.

A downtown parade, led by FHP's color guard, ended at the steps of the Old Capitol where the memorial ceremony commenced. The names of each fallen officer were announced while hundreds of law enforcement officers stood at attention for the playing of taps. The parade and the memorial service were organized by the state lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police.

At the service, Lt. Governor Toni Jennings addressed the crowd of officers gathered at the Capitol with words of gratitude and praise for the hard work performed and the sacrifices made every day by our state's law enforcement officers.
