Recently, the Traffic Safety Committee of the Palm Beaches honored law enforcement officials with its 20th Annual Distinguished Awards Luncheon in West Palm Beach. Two troopers from Troop L received awards for their enforcement efforts during the past year. Corporal Nelson Martis received a High Enforcement Award for his continual dedication to reduce traffic crashes caused by speeding violations. Trooper Eric
Devaul received a DUI Enforcement Award for his 103 DUI arrests that helped reduce the amount of alcohol-related traffic crashes in the area. Lieutenant Pat Santangelo received the top Public Information Officer Award for his work in ensuring excellent media coverage along Florida's
