FHP will star in five public service announcements entitled “On the road to Safety - Teen Driving Tips”, to be aired in the South Florida media market for several weeks that began during the last week of June. Allstate Insurance sponsored the production of the ads, costing $70,000, to support traffic safety efforts in Florida. Each of the ads will focus on the Distracted Driver, Impaired Driving, Reckless Driving, Road Rage, and Seat Belts. A professional Hollywood-style production company produced the ads, and the production crew included experts in lighting, makeup, sound, and filming. The following FHP members will be featured in the ads: Trooper Pam Cleare, Sergeants Alex Annunziato and Charlotte Thompson, and Troop E Public Affairs Officer Lt. Pat Santangelo.
