Recently, at the Twenty-Second Annual Awards Luncheon, the Traffic Safety Committee of the Palm Beaches recognized Palm Beach County Troopers from Troops L & K, private citizens, and members of the Media, for their efforts toward making Palm Beach County a safer place to drive. Over 200 Officers from twenty-three law enforcement agencies in Palm Beach County attended the awards luncheon.

This year, Troopers Darient Beavers and Elijah Jones were selected for awards for their outstanding traffic enforcement efforts. Trooper Michael Olaciregui was honored with the Heroism Award for his actions in returning a child to his family after he had been abducted from a summer camp. Troopers Ramon Fernandez and George Campbell were given special recognition for their participation in the newly formed Gang-Buster Task Force in Palm Beach County.
