Colonel Knight promoting Trooper Ramsey.
Colonel Chris Knight promotes
Trooper Spanky Ramsey.

On Friday, July 14, 2006, Trooper Gifford (Spanky) Ramsey was promoted to Sergeant by Colonel Chris Knight at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Miami. Sergeant Ramsey had to be admitted to the hospital for health problems the previous week. Colonel Knight, who had already planned to visit Spanky in the hospital, decided that while he was in Miami, it would be a good time to personally promote him. Several of Sergeant Ramsey’s co-workers, along with his wife and mom, attended the badge pinning ceremony held in the hospital room.
