Pickup truck pulling trailer used as portable lab.

Recently, Trooper James Barley stopped the driver of a silver and maroon Chevy Z71 pickup pulling an RV for a traffic law violation as the driver headed southbound on Interstate 95 in Brevard County. Trooper Kurt Glaenzer assisted on the traffic stop. After speaking to the driver and being provided several aliases, Troopers Barley and Glaenzer were able to identify the subject and confirm that there was an active warrant out for his arrest for murder.

Upon searching the suspect's vehicle, troopers found two guns and a variety of items used for the manufacturing of Methamphetamines. Troopers moved the vehicle to the southbound Rest Area on State Road 9, and immediately evacuated the entire area and blocked it off for several hours to protect the public while additional back-up personnel inspected and secured the suspect's vehicle. As a result of the quick actions taken by Troopers Barley and Glaenzer, no injuries were sustained as a result of potential exposure to volatile meth lab chemicals. Troopers arrested the suspect on charges of Capitol Warrant for Murder; three Felony Warrants; Trafficking in Methamphetamines, Possession of Illicit Chemicals, Cultivating Cannabis, Manufacturing Methamphetamines, and Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon.
