On a recent Sunday, the Tallahassee Regional Communications Center received a complaint from a motorist concerning a road rage incident involving the driver of a black Cadillac Escalade who was seen driving erratically and pointing a handgun at another motorist.

The male driver of the Cadillac became involved in an altercation with the occupants of another vehicle, a passenger car with three family members inside. After both drivers exchanged hand gestures while driving, the driver of the Cadillac took it one step further when he took out his Taurus 9 mm handgun and pointed it at the other vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle then pulled over and called the Florida Highway Patrol.

Trooper Joshua Tucker, Troop A/Pensacola, responded, spotted the suspect driving south on Pace Boulevard, and stopped the vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and the handgun was recovered from the center console of the vehicle. The firearm was identified by the victim as the weapon used in the road rage incident. The suspect was transported to Escambia County jail, where he was charged with aggravated assault, and placed on $1000 bond.
