Trooper Tullis
Trooper Richard Tullis

On May 14, 2007, at approximately 3:30 PM, Trooper Richard Tullis received a LoJack signal on a stolen black 2006 Suzuki motorcycle. LoJack is a stolen vehicle tracking system used by law enforcement to recover vehicles that have been reported stolen. The LoJack signal directed Trooper Tullis to a local storage facility located on State Road 436 just north of Hanging Moss Road. Upon his arrival, Trooper Tullis noticed three suspects with a couple of motorcycles standing in front of a storage unit. Upon further investigation, Trooper Tullis determined that the three were storing stolen vehicles and other items in the storage facility. A list of items recovered by the trooper included two stolen pick up trucks, three motorcycles, a welding machine with cutting tools, and numerous other tools and equipment designed for removing parts from vehicles.

Recovered Motorcycle and various tools and equipment. Recovered Motorcycle Storage facility

Troopers are in the process of documenting all of the items found in the storage unit. Trooper Tullis arrested all three suspects who were later charged with Grand Theft and Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine.
