Amber with fellow Duty Officers

We are pleased to announce that Amber Pitman returned to duty on Friday, April 28, 2006, after a long and difficult recovery period from life-threatening injuries she sustained in a roll-over crash on October 18, 2005. Tragically, Amber suffered a spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the chest down.

Her peers and supervisors at the Tallahassee Regional Communication Center are all very happy to have her back behind the console, where she dutifully serves the citizens and state law enforcement officers of Florida’s Panhandle. Upon her arrival at TRCC, one of Amber’s co-worker said, "We are all just pleased beyond words she's alive and kicking and back with us." Amber and her family wanted to THANK EVERYONE, for all their help, gifts, financial support, and concern since that night in October. Amber has some catching up to do, but her demeanor and spirits are both high! Welcome back Amber!!
