An amber alert bolo was activated on Monday, March, 22, 2004 from Manatee County for 19 month old Deshawn Milner. Trooper Scott Keith and Trooper Wanda Diaz stopped the tan Mercury Marque on Interstate 4 and subsequently led officers to the Omni Rosen Hotel on International Drive where the toddler was found unharmed.

At 7:16 a.m. FHP received a call from a motorist who, after hearing the amber alert, had seen the vehicle travelling eastbound on Interstate 4. Trooper Keith and Trooper Diaz heard the bolo from Orlando Dispatch. Both troopers are assigned to the I-4 squad, that started on Friday, March 19. They positioned their patrol cars on Interstate 4 and waited for the car to approach. The troopers initiated a felony stop on Interstate 4 and arrested the driver for possession of 61.8 grams of cocaine. The driver told the troopers that the toddler and other suspects were at a local hotel. Troopers and officers from FDLE and the Sheriff's office secured the two suspects without incident. The child was recovered unharmed.
