In the past few months, Troopers in Miami have seized numerous motorcycles involved in fleeing and eluding our Troopers. Recently, a Honda was seized by the Florida Highway Patrol after Trooper Alex Rodriguez stopped the driver for speeding (clocked at over 100 mph) on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami. The rider fled Trooper Rodriguez but FHP was able to locate the bike, seized it and subsequently donated it to the Division of Driver License (DDL) Florida Rider Training Program(FRTP). Ray Zurenda and Mark Parco picked up the Honda Racing Motorcycle from Troop - E headquarters in Miami. The bike will be used as an educational tool and as part of educational displays at events that draw motorcycle enthusiasts.
