The only bright spot on a recent cold and dreary winter day in the capitol city was found at the Tallahassee Regional Communications Center (TRCC) on newly promoted Duty Officer Mike Jenkins' face. Major Mark Trammell stopped by to present Mike with his promotion certificate from Colonel Chris Knight, promoting him to Duty Officer Supervisor effective March 1, 2004.

Mike has been employed with FHP as a duty officer since December 2001, and during that time has shown himself to be a leader to other duty officers in the communications section. He has worked endlessly to better the TRCC and himself, and has been awarded "Employee of the Month" on a number of occasions.

Also present at the pinning ceremony was, Mike's wife, Carrie, DOS Eugene Davis and Captain David Tripp. During the ceremony, Mike was issued his office keys and supervisors shirts. So after a short break and a cup of hot cappuccino, it was back to work.
