On Wednesday, February 21, 2007, a Troop Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) Coordinators meeting was held in Tallahassee at General Headquarters. The MDT coordinators in each troop are responsible, in addition to their normal duties, for ensuring that all computers in patrol cars are fully configured for the trooper’s optimal use. These dedicated coordinators are the backbone of the Patrol’s statewide mobile data terminal infrastructure, a system that is managed by FHP Major Steve Williams, Chief of Technology and Communications, and admired by other law enforcement agencies throughout the country.

Colonel Chris Knight personally thanked all of the coordinators for their hard work and dedication, and then surprised several members attending the meeting by presenting them with their years of service pins.
