On January 26, Attorney General Charlie Crist honored two FHP members on the steps of the Capitol in Tallahassee. Corporal Richard Warden and Trooper Milton Brown were presented with certificates and recognized as nominees for the Attorney General's Officer of the Year Award for their heroic actions in coming to the aid of a fellow officer who had been shot. Each was recognized by the Attorney General for their vital role in the incident, performing their duties in the highest tradition of the Florida Highway Patrol.

Earlier this year, Corporal Warden and Trooper Brown were selected as co-recipients of the FHP's Trooper of the Year Award.

FHP is proud of these two members and congratulates them on receiving this recognition. Corporal Warden is a 22-year veteran of the FHP assigned to Troop A-Chipley. Trooper Brown is a 20-year veteran, assigned to Troop A-Bonifay.
