126 and 127 classes

Never Surrender,
Never Quit.
We are Recruit Class 126!

We are Strong;
We are Loud,
127 Loud and Proud!

August 19, 2013, the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy made history with the start of the first ever “Dual Class”. The two classes, 126th and 127th Basic Recruit classes, reported on the same day, which started their journey through an extensive 12-hour day, rigorous physical fitness, mentally challenging classes, and strict discipline. They finished strong and ready for the next challenge. The 126th Recruit Class started with 50 recruits and the 127th Recruit Class started with 52 recruits. The classes graduate on January 30, 2014.

On December 16, 2014, twenty-one transitional recruits joined the Patrol in an attempt to travel the same journey as the basic recruits of the 126th and 127th, which brings the total new troopers graduating to ninety-five. The 126th recruit class with forty-seven recruits and the 127th recruit class with forty-eight recruits. The road to graduation was not an easy task and not everyone who started on Aug. 19 made it to graduation. This group of men and women worked hard and succeeded as they completed the journey to be a part of Florida’s finest.

After graduation, the transitional recruit troopers will report for patrol duty on February 7, 2014. The seventy-four basic recruit troopers will report for patrol duty on February 14, 2014.

The graduating troopers will increase the number of troopers working the road by ninety-five troopers. This will increase the coverage of Florida’s roadways, which will help aide motorists and better protect and serve the residents and visitors of Florida. During their time at the academy, the recruits learned life lessons of discipline, respect, integrity, ethics and loyalty.

The graduation is the first graduation of 2014 and as the Florida Highway Patrol celebrates 75 years of service, the members of the 126th and 127th have developed the core values that were set by Director Neil Kirkman 75 years ago.

The members of the 126th and 127th recruit class graduation ceremony will take place on January 30, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bradfordville First Baptist Church in Tallahassee.

Congratulations and best wishes to the members of the 126th and 127th Recruit Classes!
