April 10, 2013, Lt. Col. Kelly Hildreth and Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Rick Creamer graduated from the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute’s 47th Chief Executive Seminar.
Many members of FHP’s senior staff have completed this training over the years, including Col. David Brierton, Lt. Col. Ernesto Duarte, Chief Cyrus Brown, and Major Richard Mechlin. It has proven to be a powerful tool to shape the leaders of this organization.
This three week seminar showcased demography, budgeting, managing generations, ethics and implementing strategic change. The goal of the Chief Executive Seminar is to prepare leadership for the challenging and changing demands of the future. The class also discussed trends and events that may affect our state and develop new leadership skills to address and manage those changes.
“I gained a wealth of knowledge about leadership and the future of policing as well as some valuable tools to help me better serve the Florida Highway Patrol and the residents of Florida,” said Lt. Col. Hildreth.
The Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute, established within the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and affiliated with the State University System, established in 1990 by the Florida Legislature who recognized the need for an innovative and multifaceted approach to the education and training of criminal justice professionals.
Congratulations, LTC Hildreth and Mr. Creamer.
