FHP Corporal Richard Nardiello was completing a traffic stop on State Road 7 in Hollywood when a vehicle stopped behind him. The driver exited his vehicle and told Corporal Nardiello that a dark colored Chrysler was approaching his location and that the driver of that vehicle had just pulled a gun on someone in the parking lot of McDonalds.
As a dark blue Chrysler 300 passed them, the witness identified the vehicle as the one involved in the altercation in the parking lot of McDonalds. Corporal Nardielllo began to follow the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect exited the vehicle and was ordered to the ground and arrested by Corporal Nardiello. A 9mm handgun was found in the center console of the vehicle. The suspect was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, resisting arrest without violence and improper exhibition of a firearm.
