On July 3rd troopers from the Ft. Pierce district participated in a community blood drive and event to support families that were experiencing financial and personal hardship brought about by the current economic crisis.

Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow was on hand along with local community leaders providing support and encouragement for all residents that were in attendance. FHP Troopers Scott Gardner, Cory Lee, Ryan Yunas and Mellow Scheetz provided event security while also encouraging attendees to use seat belts, avoid aggressive driving habits and to never drink and drive.
This outreach event provided positive support and inspiration while allowing our troopers an opportunity to give back to the communities they serve.
