Capt. Picanol, MRCC Commander
Capt. Picanol is the MRCC Commander

Jaime R. Picanol, known to all as “Jimmy”, was recently awarded his doctoral degree in Psychology. Captain Picanol completed his graduate studies at the renowned Carlos Albizu University in Doral and was ranked at the top of his class with a 4.0 grade point average. While discharging his duties as a district captain in Miami, Dr. Picanol completed his clinical work at the Goodman Psychological Clinic in Miami. Upon completion of his coursework, Dr. Picanol went on sabbatical from the division and completed his residency in clinical psychology at the Federal Correctional Complex in Coleman. The last degree requirement was a dissertation defense at the American Psychological Association annual meeting in Toronto, Canada.

Captain Picanol has returned to FHP and serves as the Commander of the Miami Regional Communications Center (MRCC). Captain Picanol is a graduate of the 199th session of the FBI National Academy and a graduate of the US Secret Service Dignitary Protection Seminar. When he is not serving his patients or the division, Captain Picanol actively donates his time to the Alpha and Omega Christian church in Miami. Captain Picanol knows no greater advocate than his loving wife Giselle, who has supported his professional and academic goals.
