Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and more than 130 law enforcement personnel from several local and state agencies throughout Florida including the Florida Highway Patrol spent hours combing every square inch around the home of Haleigh Cummings. The five-year-old girl has not been seen since last Monday evening. FHP Captain Jerrell Crews and troopers from the Palatka District and Troop G Contraband Interdiction members immediately assisted in the search for the child, and will remain on heightened alert until she is found.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said Haleigh Ann-Marie Cummings was last seen at 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2008, when her father's girlfriend put her to bed in their home in Satsuma. Haleigh is described as having blond hair and brown eyes, is 3 feet tall and weighs 39 pounds. She was last seen in the Hermit's Cove area of Satsuma wearing a pink shirt and underwear.
