116th Recruit Class.
Troopers ready, lead all day! The 116 is here, make way!

On June 15th of this year, the 116th Basic Recruit Class reported to begin their training at the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy. On October 24th, they were joined by members of the Certified Recruit Class, which is comprised of law enforcement officers from other agencies who go through Agency Specified Training to become members of the Florida Highway Patrol. The Basic and Certified Recruits have now completed their training, and are eager to receive their diplomas and badges. The Recruits will take their Oath of Office at the graduation ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18th, 2008 at the Tallahassee Community College in Tallahassee. They have each received their first assignments indicating where they will report for duty and where they will complete their ten additional weeks of field training before being released to solo patrol.

Congratulations to our newest members of the Florida Highway Patrol!
