Captain Jeff Succi is recognized for his contributions at a ceremony

Captain Jeff Succi received a Davis Productivity Distinguished Cash Award for his work in the development of FHP’s mobile data and records management systems (RMS) that will fully enable the electronic transfer of data from traffic citations to the courts and the transfer of crash data to our agency. Captain Succi was formally recognized for his outstanding accomplishments and service to our agency at an award ceremony held at DHSMV Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Captain Succi, a 31 year veteran with the Florida Highway Patrol, currently serves as a district captain and MDT coordinator in Troop B (Ocala). Captain Succi received his Davis Productivity Distinguished Cash Award for acting on his own initiative in the testing of software upgrades and enhancements for FHP. In addition, he developed an expertise in all facets of the SmartCOP software and the MDT hardware used by FHP. He was also instrumental in coordinating enhancements to the software and coordinating with vendors, the Division of Administrative Services, Division of Driver Licenses, Information Systems Administration, and the Florida Association of Clerks of the Court in both the e-citation process and the e-crash reporting process. In addition, he worked closely with FHP’s Office of Program Planning in the development of a new Uniform Crime Report.
According to those who have worked with Captain Succi, he has a unique style of leadership that is conducive to getting things done and getting them done very well. Our agency thanks him for his dedication to public service and congratulates him on this well-deserved recognition.
