That’s 65 pounds of marijuana that won’t make it onto the street.
A recent traffic stop in Sumter County by Brooksville Trooper Mike Eyes led to the arrest of two criminals and 65 pounds of marijuana being removed from Florida’s highways.
What started as a traffic stop of the driver of a late model Chevrolet sedan for illegal window tint led to Trooper Eyes conducting a search of the vehicle after he discovered that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. Trooper Eyes and his backup Trooper George Reaves located the marijuana concealed in the vehicle’s trunk in various pieces of luggage, boxes, and buckets.
Troopers arrested both subjects without incident and booked them into the local jail on numerous drug and other criminal charges.
