Later in the day FHP participated in the celebrity reading portion of the program. There were many local officials and media personalities that went to the classrooms and read weather safety oriented books to help the children learn about weather safety. There were approximately 450 children in attendance. The Pensacola area was experiencing heavy thunderstorms and strong winds, making it the perfect backdrop for the event.
