Jacksonville troopers wait for the trucks
to leave the staging area.
On Monday, October 24th, the Florida Highway Patrol began escorting FEMA trucks loaded with supplies intended for those affected by Hurricane Wilma. The trucks were staged in Jacksonville and White Springs in order to respond south as soon as it was safe to do so. The over 600 trucks were guided from Jacksonville towards South Florida by FHP troopers and auxiliary personnel.
Trooper Garry Bones helps direct trucks out of the staging area.
