Lieutenant Donna Ganz
Congratulations go to Lieutenant Donna Ganz (Troop E-Miami) who graduated from Florida International University on April 26, 2004, with a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice. Due to her 3.8 grade point average, Lieutenant Ganz is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, a national criminal justice honor society.
Lieutenant Ganz is a seventeen-year veteran of the Florida Highway Patrol and is presently assigned to Troop E-Miami. Upon completing the academy in 1987, she received her first assignment in Troop E as a Trooper, and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in Miami in 1995. In January of 2000, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned briefly to Troop F in Ft. Myers before returning to her hometown of Miami.
Before starting her career in law enforcement Lieutenant Ganz was one of the top tennis players in the world in women's professional tennis. In 1975, she held the number 19 ranking in the world. During her tennis career she competed in such tournaments as Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, the French Open, and the Italian Open.
