K-9 Bishop
K-9 Bishop

During a recent Ft. Myers District meeting, K-9 Bishop was officially recognized by Captain Eddie Johnson for his accomplishments while working with the Florida Highway Patrol. K-9 Bishop began his service with the FHP in 1995, where he served his fellow troopers and particularly his handler, FHP Sergeant Dan Hinton, until April 2003. During his career, he is credited with countless drug seizures, including one case when he alerted Sgt. Hinton to 2500 pounds of marijuana and 328 kilos of cocaine. Although he is not chasing criminals out on the highways anymore, he can be found running around the Hinton's residence, enjoying the fruits of retirement.
