On September 22, 2003, the 106th Basic Recruit Class reported for 27 weeks of rigorous training at the FHP Academy in Tallahassee. They are now in the final weeks, and are almost ready to receive their oaths and badges. After graduation they will be released to their first duty assignment, where they will undergo another 10 weeks of field training before being released for solo patrol. However, there are still some weeks left in their training at the Academy, and they have passed all the tests necessary to receive their first assignment locations.
