On April 29, 2003, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Rex Snow stopped an eastbound pickup truck on Interstate 10 for speeding. Trooper Snow suspected illegal activity and requested a K-9 search.

Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Brian Davis and K-9 Chaos responded and subsequently alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. The subsequent search yielded approximately 20 pounds of marijuana hidden in a door space.

One adult and two juveniles were arrested and transported to the Escambia County Jail for Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
