The Florida Trucking Association recently held its annual "Truckers Day at the Capitol" in order to make Legislators and citizens aware of the dangers of driving in truckers' blind spots. A special "No-Zone" truck was parked in the Capitol Courtyard, and a marked Florida Highway Patrol Camaro was parked behind it. Legislators and visitors to the Capitol were invited into the driver's seat of the 18-wheeler so they could see for themselves how limited a truck driver's view is when using the mirrors to look behind the truck.
