On Friday, February 28, 2003, the Trooper’s Memorial Monument was officially dedicated in Tallahassee during a touching ceremony at the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy.
 Lieutenant Governor Brogan
Lieutenant Governor Frank Brogan, a strong supporter and close friend of the FHP, was the keynote speaker for the event that was attended by several hundred guests. The Trooper’s Memorial Monument was created in memory of the Patrol’s 37 troopers and one auxiliary trooper who have been killed in the line of duty.
