Chief Gregory and his family

Major Rick Gregory recently graduated from Barry University in Orlando, after completing the course work required to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He received his degree "with honors", maintaining a 3.8 grade point average.

Major Gregory is the current commander of Troop D, which encompasses FHP operations in Orange, Osceola, Lake, Volusia, Seminole, and Brevard counties. He has been employed with the Florida Highway Patrol since 1984.

Colonel Chris Knight has also recently announced that on February 1, 2002, Major Gregory is being promoted to Bureau Chief and transferred to General Headquarters in Tallahassee, where he will oversee field operations activities in the South Florida area.

Congratulations to Chief Gregory and his family (pictured here at graduation) on these two significant career achievements!
