Trooper  Bedenbaugh

On Friday, December 20, 2002, at 10:45 am, 21-year veteran, Trooper John H. “Johnny” Bedenbaugh passed away after being admitted to Putnam County Community Hospital the day before. Trooper Bedenbaugh had been admitted after complaints of chest pain.

Johnny began his career with the Florida Highway Patrol in March 1981. After graduation from the FHP Training Academy, he was stationed in Homestead and then transferred to Jacksonville in July 1984. Two years later, Johnny transferred to Palatka and remained there until he was reassigned to Orange Park in December 1992. Trooper Bedenbaugh’s current assignment began in March 1999 when he reported to Starke in Troop B.

His parents, Jerry and Tobi; his son and daughter, Justin and Jennifer; and his two brothers Jed and Jeff survive Trooper Bedenbaugh.
