Trooper Richard Elliott was recently named Gadsden County's Law Enforcement Officer of the Year during the annual Law Enforcement Luncheon sponsored by the Exchange Club of Quincy. State Representative Curtis Richardson presented the award to Elliott, a 12-year veteran of the FHP.
Trooper Elliott received the annual award based on his outstanding record of criminal arrests, which consisted of 45 arrests for drug violations, 38 miscellaneous felony arrests, 87 miscellaneous misdemeanor arrests, and nine DUI arrests. All of Trooper Elliott's arrests ended in convictions, none of which were changed to lesser offenses or dismissed.
Congratulations to Trooper Elliott for a job well done!
