The 116th BRC is set to begin on June 15th, 2008! We are currently processing those applicants who have already entered the testing phase as of March, 2008, for this class. Candidates who have applied during or after March, 2008, can expect to be processed for the next recruit class.
We expect to begin the 117th Recruit Class in late 2008 or early 2009 (December 08 – January 09). The Florida Highway Patrol is always seeking to fill vacant positions with the most qualified State Trooper candidates, so hurry and apply now if you would like to be considered for the 117th Basic Recruit Class. If you are thinking about entering into a law enforcement career, you cannot do any better than the Florida Highway Patrol! We will provide you training, free of charge, and pay you a salary while you attend the FHP Academy. Apply online now if you would like to become a member of the 117th Basic Recruit Class!
For those candidates who are already Florida Certified Law Enforcement Officers, we anticipate hosting the 116th Transitional Recruit Class in or near November of this year. If you are currently a Florida Certified Law Enforcement Officer or you are a law enforcement academy recruit expected to graduate before November, apply now to become a member of the 116th TRC!
Please remember, our hiring process will take anywhere from 4 to 8 months, so if you are considering a career with the Florida Highway Patrol, the sooner you apply, the greater chance you’ll have to become a member of the 117th BRC or the 116th TRC! Don’t wait until it’s too late! Apply now!!
Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page or contact your Regional Recruitment Officer if you have more questions about how to become a member of the 117th BRC.
