Trooper Mike Smith, Contraband Interdiction Program Troop G, was working with the Northeast Florida HIDTA Team when they were called to the Amtrak train station in Jacksonville to check individuals on a southbound train from New York. After consent was given to search carry-on luggage, a large amount of cash was discovered inside one of the bags. FHP K-9 Rosie alerted to the bag with the currency. The sum of $114,025 was seized and is under federal forfeiture proceedings
