The Office of Homeland Security works closely with the Department of Homeland Security as well as FDLE and other state partners in the Florida Fusion Center taking an all crimes/all hazards approach to Domestic Security in Florida. This office also oversees grant initiatives used to fund equipment to support the Domestic Security efforts of DHSMV and FHP.

As the world changes and becomes more and more global the need for the Office of Homeland Security becomes obvious. Through understanding the diversity that this global growth has created we will help develop our understanding and knowledge. It is the pledge of the Office of Homeland Security to insure proper parties have access to the needed intelligence to insure our security. This information is received through the cooperative efforts of the Florida Fusion Center and its partners.

It is the mission of the Florida Highway Patrol’s Office of Homeland Security to insure the security of the residents of the State of Florida and act in concert with the Federal Department of Homeland Security in helping protect our nation. Through the use of our manpower and technology we will seek to provide the necessary tools needed to help in the protection of our state.
