On Saturday Nov. 12, 2005 Troop – E Troopers Bill Smith, R. Kurnick, Mary Jackson and Charlie Harris along with Lt. Pat Santangelo escorted bicycles participating in a coast to coast fundraising event through Miami-Dade County. The bikers are on the first leg of a 5,000 mile journey across the country raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network. The bikes left Marco Island at 7 AM, were intercepted by Troop E on SR 41 at 12:30 PM and escorted to South Beach.
