District 3  District III is responsible for the coverage of Miami-Dade County during the PM shift and 24-hour coverage of the 113 miles of the Florida Keys in Monroe County. The Miami-Dade district is comprised of 50 troopers, 6 sergeants, 1 lieutenants, 1 captain, and 1 senior clerk. Monroe County has 20 troopers, 3 corporals, 3 sergeants, 1 lieutenant, and a senior clerk.

Homicide Investigations
Continue to conduct thorough investigations focusing on finding the cause and on building a strong case for possible future litigation. Expand on the technical aspects of accident reconstruction through the use of the newly acquired mapping system. Increase the use of the Forensic Mapping system with the newly acquired crash investigation van.
