You may obtain a copy of a crash report investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol after 10 working days following the date of the crash. You may either stop by the appropriate FHP office in person to purchase the report or request a copy by mail. Each copy will cost ten dollars. You may pay by cash or check made payable to the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles. If you request a report by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your check or money order and be sure to indicate the case report number in your request.

** NOTICE ** Recent legislation prohibits the release of any crash report to anyone other than those involved in the crash, attorneys representing the parties involved, or the insurance company or agent who insure the parties involved for a period of 60 days. A request form must be completed to obtain a crash report under the 60-day rule.
