SUBJECT:         December 2010 FRVIS Release


            The statewide December Release is scheduled for download this weekend for use in offices on Monday, December 20, 2010. 


            Attached is a copy of the modification log for you to review and familiarize yourself with before the release.  The modification log is a helpful tool for understanding FRVIS changes.


            If you encounter any problems related to the release, please check the FRVIS Release Issue Board to determine if someone has already reported the problem.  If so, you may find a work-around.  If the problem is not on the log and you still have questions, please call your Field Support Center Representative.

















1.      The system will now allow 9 digits to be entered in the beginning and ending audit number fields for Title Certificate printers on the Printer Maintenance screen.


2.      Local Option sales tax changes will become effective January 1,  2011 for the following counties:


a.       Alachua – changes from .75 to .25

b.      Bay begins charging .25

c.       Palm Beach stops charging any local option sales tax


3.      Temporary registrations can no longer be erroneously issued in class 037 for motorcycles and vehicle trailers using the reg-use of MI.  To temporarily register these vehicles in class 037, use the reg-use of NB.


4.      Sales tax credit will now be allowed to be entered from all states except Alaska, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon. The system used to deny sales tax credit from the following states but has now been corrected to allow it to be entered:  North Carolina, Delaware, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and West Virginia.
