SUBJECT: Stolen Blank Arizona Certificates of Title
The department received notice that on October 29, 2009, 460 blank Arizona Certificates of Title were stolen from the PLS Check Cashers of Arizona located at 5808 S. Central Ave in Phoenix.
An Arizona Certificate of Title is computer printed on 8 x 10 inch, security-featured paper. The Control Number is printed in red ink in the upper right corner of the document. These stolen title certificates cannot be queried through NCIC by control number. These title certificates now have an 8-digit Control number instead of reusing 7-digit numbers.
THE CONTROL NUMBERS FOR THE STOLEN TITLES ARE:
The Arizona Certificates of Title listed above may not be used as proof of ownership, are fraudulent if presented for any purpose, and constitute possession of stolen property.
