SUBJECT: Recording Transactions on FRVIS 2000

Between approximately 12:00 – 12:45 Eastern Standard Time, FRVIS transactions were not updated on the database, but continued to print giving the appearance that the transactions was successfully completed.

In order to balance at the end of the day, you will need to identify all transactions that did not get written to the transaction detail report. These transactions must be "re-processed" exactly as they were done while the system was down.

he following methods may be used to determine which transactions were not "recorded".

1. Use 82041 to verify that all titles issued appear on the "Transaction Detail Report". Any missing titles must be re-processed.

2. Use checks to make a customer inquiry. Then look at the customers vehicles to determine those that were "likely" processed today. Using the amount on the check, you may be able to determine which registrations were processed. If not, you will need to contact the customer to reconcile the transaction(s).

All license plate inventory issued, but not updated in the system, must be isolated in a separate bin to ensure these license plates are not issued to another customer.
