SUBJECT:                  Stolen Blank Colorado Certificates of Title

 

            The department received notice from the State of Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles that on November 11, 2009, 209 blank Colorado Certificates of Title were stolen from the Moffat County Motor Vehicle Office.

 

            A Colorado Certificate of Title is computer printed on 81/2 x 11- inch security paper.  The Control Number is printed in red on the lower right corner of the document.  The background is composed of three vertical stripes.  The two outside stripes are light blue in color.  The center stripe is light salmon pink with the State of Colorado seal printed in the center.

 

THE CONTROL NUMBERS FOR THE STOLEN TITLES ARE:

 

        H5891020 through H5891229

 

            The stolen Colorado Certificates of Title listed above may not be used as proof of ownership, are fraudulent if presented for any propose, and constitute possession of stolen property.
