SUBJECT:††††† Motor Vehicle Database Upgrade

††††††††††††††††††††††† On Veteranís Day weekend, the Motor Vehicle database will be migrated to a more current version of Oracle, starting at 8 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2006.If everything goes well, we anticipate that the database will be available for internal testing on Saturday, November 11, afternoon and available for public access later that day.Sunday has been reserved for contingency planning, in case we have to rollback to the previous version.

††††††††††††††††††††††† During the upgrade, FRVIS and FDLIS will not be available. We chose a holiday weekend for this effort to minimize the impact to your offices, anticipating that most offices would be closed during this time.

††††††††††††††††††††††† This upgrade is required to be on a version of software supported by the vendor and is the first step of the Motorist Database Project, which will synchronize customer information in the motor vehicle and driver license databases.Thank you for your continued support.
