As a result of the passage of House Bill 201, the following changes/amendments were effective July 1, 2006:†
∑ Revise notice requirements of a marina having a possessory lien on a vessel for unpaid costs, charges, or fees prior to the nonjudicial sale of the vessel, including expenses for the removal and disposal of certain vessels in a wrecked, junked, or substantially dismantled condition.†
∑ Reduces the time allowed to pay the fees, charges and costs giving rise to the lien prior to the sale of the vessel.†
∑ Provides for suspending application for a 60-day period after a named storm.
∑ Revises requirements with respect to perfection of and priority over prior or other liens.†
