Trooper Kurt Arbogast

On Sunday, April 12, 2003, Trooper Kurt Arbogast, Troop F-Manatee County, participated in Bike Across Florida.

Trooper Arbogast was 1 of 300 bicycle riders who competed in the 170-mile race from Cocoa Beach to Crystal River. He completed the trip in 9 hours and 48 minutes and placed 113th. Not bad for someone who started riding after a July 22, 2001, heart attack!

Trooper Arbogast, a 19-year veteran of the FHP, has become a dedicated cyclist and fitness enthusiast who has ridden for over 2500 miles since purchasing his racing bicycle in November 2002.
