The District, which covers all of Brevard County, is the hub of national and international space activities, bringing many visitors to what has been named America's Spaceport.

Brevard County extends over 70 miles north to south and houses the Interstate 95 corridor. The growth in the Brevard area along with the increase in I- 95 traffic poses some very significant challenges to law enforcement and traffic managers in the future.

Cocoa FHP Station
The Cocoa Patrol Station is located on
West King Street (State Road 520) in Cocoa.

The Cocoa Commander is also the FHP Tactical Response Team Commander. The TRT, also referred to as a SWAT Team, is used for a variety of missions including serving arrest and search warrants where there is a high threat level, responding to incidents involving barricaded suspects, and manhunts. The team routinely assists local law enforcement in critical events as well.
