DHSMV Releases New Design of the Florida Panthers’ Specialty License Plate

~Newly redesigned Florida Panthers specialty license plates will be available statewide August 9~

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) is pleased to announce the release of the newly redesigned Florida Panthers specialty license plate. The redesigned plate is being delivered to the department’s locations and tax collector offices statewide and will be available to customers by August 9.

Floridians interested in purchasing the Florida Panthers’ new plate are encouraged to contact their local DHSMV office or tax collector office for availability. A list of locations can be found online at https://www.flhsmv.gov/locations. There is a $25 specialty license plate fee in addition to other registration fees. Revenue generated from sale of Florida Panthers specialty license plates supports the Professional Sports Development Trust Fund within the Department of Economic Opportunity. As of June 1, there are 2,097 valid Florida Panthers specialty license plate registrations. The plate is one of the original 10 Professional Sports Team specialty license plates that were enacted during the 1994 legislative session. This is the first time the organization has redesigned the license plate since it became available May 1995.
